Xena's Lucy Lawless gives birth to an ickle baby boy. Awwww

Lucy Lawless, fearless Warrior princess Xena, gave birth to a baby boy on October 16th in her native New Zealand. The child was named Julius, which suggests that perhaps Lawless has been playing at ancients greeks and Romans just a little too long.

Meanwhile, the birth of Xena's child will just have to hold on a bit longer. Lawless said that: "I didn't want to shoot it before my own baby was born. I didn't want my baby to hear me growling and carrying on. It's hard enough war cries."

Lawless also revealed that the episode which will eventually feature Xena's sprog will have a guest appearance by Kevin Sorbo as Hercules. Do children of Gods make good mid-wives? We should find out just who the heck the father is - here's hoping Callisto is involved somewhere along the line.
