In the 1998 Fantasporto filmfestival (18th edition), running from the 20th to the 28th February in Porto (Portugal), the movie "Topless Women Talk About Their Lives" was screened in the Official Competitive Section of the Director's week.

It's a provocative title for a pleasant surprise coming from New Zealand. From a documentary about women who practice topless, a movie about the dreams and sadnesses of the 20's.

This movie conquered the Public's Award, one of the non-official prizes of the festival.
